Online Sales Questions and Answers

Q: What does this mean to our customers?
A: You will be able to choose your exact seats from your home or office and print the tickets immediately. You will not have to wait in line to pick up tickets or purchase them. You can order tickets as soon as they become available and not have to go to the box office during limited daytime hours.

Q: Will this cost me more money?
A: Yes, but we hope the added value will be well worth the modest charge. Other theaters charge up to $6 or more per ticket for online or even box office purchases. Since we will be using an online service to select and print ALL of our tickets, we will incur costs related to it. Because we do not want to raise ticket prices, we are asking our patrons to pay a $2 transaction fee on each purchase, whether online, by mail, phone or at the box office. This will defray our costs for credit card and online fees. In addition, online purchasers will pay a $.95 per ticket charge. This charge is not increased for more expensive tickets as with many other services. Our phone and mail credit card customers already have been paying a $3 charge per transaction, but this will be reduced to $2.

Q: Will my member discount apply to online ticket sales?
A: Yes, or if you are not a member you may purchase a membership online before ordering your tickets. Your membership discount will apply immediately on your next purchase.

Q: Why not just raise ticket prices?
A: A per transaction fee is the same regardless of the number of tickets you purchase. The more tickets you purchase at a time, the lower the fee per ticket. If we raised ticket prices you would be paying more on every ticket.

Q: Can I still buy tickets at the Box Office?
A: Absolutely! Our box office hours have not changed. We can take phone and mail orders, but, because we will be using the Ticket Turtle service to select and print your tickets, there will be a $2 transaction fee for all orders, even cash sales. The only exception will limited general admission tickets on sale one hour prior to selected performances.

Q: Why do I have to pay a fee at the Box Office if I pay cash?
A: We no longer print tickets in advance. When you purchase a ticket at the Box Office we go online for you and buy the ticket and we incur a fee, so we are passing some of that fee on to the customer in the form of a $2 fee per order. We think this is fairer than increasing ticket prices because you would pay more if you ordered more tickets. With the per order fee you do not pay more if you order many tickets at one time.

Q: Is my personal information secure?
A: TicketTurtle uses state of the art encryption and does not save your credit card information. We will not share your email or other personal information with anyone but we do hope that you will permit us to send you occasional email newsletters which will save us printing and postage costs and will save paper. You can opt out of email or mail marketing.
