A Nutcracker for ALL to Enjoy!
The Main Line’s Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet Society is renowned for training young dancers who are serious about classical ballet. Most alumni have become professional dancers.
That’s why PABS’s performance of the Nutcracker is such a treat. For parents and grandparents, it is an affordable way to introduce children to one of America’s favorite holiday traditions, featuring some of the region’s best dancers, professional soloists, elegant scenery, refined costumes, Tchaikovsky’s stirring score…and even falling snow!
PABS’s dancers have rehearsed countless hours for the ninety-minute production (plus intermission) with the goal of providing every audience member with a performance that is comparable to any professional production.
This holiday season, PABS celebrates 26 years of bringing the Nutcracker to Upper Darby Performing Arts Center, a state-of-the-art performance venue easily accessible to the Main Line and the Blue Route, in Drexel Hill.
“The arts have become expensive,” said Harry Dietzler, Executive Director of UDPAC. “But here, we offer quality entertainment at family-friendly prices, a great location and free parking.”
