Summer Stage’s Jackie Serratore takes a seat on the Philly Casting Couch
The Philly Casting Couch is sponsored by the Philadelphia Theatre Alliance. It’s a fun program that includes a couch, an interviewer and an interviewee.
The interviewer asks questions of randomly picked individuals who share their thoughts about theater such as how they’ve been affected by theater and their most poignant “theater moments.”
Segments of the interviews are posted on YouTube where people get the opportunity to vote for their favorite segment. The winners are featured next year in a PSA at the Barrymore Awards.
The Casting Couch appears in random places throughout the Philadelphia region and there have been some pretty interesting celebrity interviewers including Mayor Nutter, Tony Danza, Ben Franklin and more.
Summer Stage alum and staff member Jackie Serratore just took her turn behind the mic and on the couch when the Philly Casting Couch appeared at the 18th annual “Taste and Tour of the Countryside” sponsored by Delaware County’s Brandywine Conference and Visitors Bureau. The event took place on Tuesday evening, October 18 at Drexelbrook Corporate Events Center in Drexel Hill. The event is a tradeshow featuring Delaware County’s unique and inviting places to hold meetings and special events and is attended by those in the hospitality business who plan events.
Jackie had fun interviewing several attendees and we can’t wait to see some of the highlights of her interviews. Once we get a hold of videos from Jackie’s “latest performance” as a Casting Couch interviewer, we’ll be sure to post them for you!
Thanks for representing Upper Darby Summer Stage and UD Performing Arts Center on the Philly Casting Couch, Jackie! Great job!
