The 2013 Summer Stage Directing Workshops are looking for interested Directors!
As you know, this is an excellent opportunity to hone your directing skills in a low-pressure environment with guidance and support. If you haven’t directed before but want to try your hand at it, this might be a great time to give it a shot!
What’s New This Year:
– Workshop Coordinator Mary Leigh Filippone will be choosing a collection of 10 Minute Plays for directors to read and chose a piece from.
-The purpose of this new structure to allow a more even playing field across the board and to keep the plays exactly the same in length which allows for ease of rehearsal and performance. Plus, directing a stand-alone piece of theatre (one that is not a snippet from a larger body of work) will allow a smoother directorial process, especially if you are new to it.
If you are interested in Directing this year:
-Email Workshop Coordinator at
mary.leigh.filippone@gmail.com with your interest and a brief explanation of what you’re hoping to learn through the process this summer.
PS- Information on the audition for actors coming soon!
