The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is the city’s leading hospital for pediatric care. CHOP was founded in 1855 and it was the first hospital in the nation that catered exclusively to children. CHOP runs countless community outreach programs, including community asthma prevention, a 24/7 poison control hotline and a health program for homeless mothers and their children. This summer, they plan to expand their efforts with help from Summer Stage. Toy donations flow into CHOP during the early winter months as the holidays approach.
