The Delaware County Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Delco SPCA) was established in 1911 with the original purpose of providing watering troughs for work horses around Delaware County. In 2012, the Delco SPCA became a lifesaving organization, reserving euthanasia only for animals that are incurably sick or too behaviorally aggressive to be adopted out into the community. In 2013, we placed a record 3,272 homeless pets into forever homes. For more information on the Delco SPCA, visit the Web site www.delcospca.org
