Danielle (Stage Manager) is in her fourth year of stage management at Upper Darby Summer Stage, and this is her first time stage managing the Mainstage show. This summer, Danielle also can be seen stage managing Disney’s Frozen, Jr., and performing in the Cabaret showcase. During the school year, Danielle is a seventh grade English teacher at Ridley Middle School. She would like to thank her fellow staff members at UDSS for supporting her throughout this journey.
Catherine (Ensemble) is a first time Mainstage performer! She has two Bachelor of Music degrees in Music Education and Vocal Performance. Catherine’s favorite role was her performance as Le Prince Charmant in Jules Massanet’s Cendrillon in Ithaca College’s Spring opera. She would like to thank her parents, boyfriend, and friends for all their love and support!
Isabella (Mayor) feels so lucky to be back in Mainstage for her second year! Isabella is starting her sophomore year at Temple University in the Fall. She is pursuing a Marketing and International Business degree. Some of her favorite roles include Shrek in Shrek the Musical (Haverford High School) and Lefou in Beauty and the Beast (Upper Darby Summer Stage). She would like to thank her family, friends, and the cast of Big Fish for always being so supportive. She hopes everyone enjoys the show!
Sophia (Ensemble) is going into her junior year at Haverford High School and is ecstatic to be participating in her first Mainstage production. She has been in Summer Stage for six years and cannot wait to continue her journey. Sophia would like to thank her friends and family for being a great support system for her, and hopes that you enjoy the show!
Jason (Ensemble) is excited to be back for his eighth Mainstage show Big Fish! He recently graduated from DCCC with an Associate’s degree in Theater and will be starting at Temple University studying Theater and Education in the Fall. Some of Jason’s favorite roles include: The Cat in the Hat in Seussical, Pippin in Pippin, Greg in HOAHB, Jeffery in Godspell, and a Gargoyle in Hunchback. He would like to thank his family, friends and everyone in Big Fish for being so amazingly supportive. He loves you all; shout out to The Squad.
Bethany (Ensemble) is thrilled to return for her fourth year of Mainstage! She is a recent graduate of Muhlenberg College. Some of her favorite roles include Clown in O War at Muhlenberg College, and First Girl/Sunny Side Singer/Ensemble in 42nd Street, featured Citizen/Parishioner in The Hunchback Of Notre Dame, and Member of the Society of Dry Women in Nice Work if You Can Get It at Upper Darby Summer Stage. Bethany would like to thank Dad, Mom, Helena, and Ben for their support and love!
Elena (Ensemble) is thrilled to be making her Mainstage debut! A student at the University of Delaware, Elena will graduate this Fall with degrees in Human Services and Psychology. Past performances include various featured dancer roles, but her favorite part to play is behind the scenes as an assistant choreographer for the Children’s Theater program. Elena would like to thank her friends and family for all their support and the entire cast and crew for bringing the magic of this show to life!
Tap Dancer & Ensemble
Sara (Tap Dancer & Ensemble) is in her second year with Mainstage. She is a double major at Saint Joseph’s University studying English and Musical Theatre. Sara’s favorite show was 42nd Street as tapping holds a great place in her heart. She would like to thank her parents for supporting her endlessly, and thanks the staff and cast of Big Fish for a wonderful production process!
Bryant (Coven) is thrilled to be appearing in his second Mainstage performance! He wishes to thank the cast and crew.
Anna (Ensemble) is excited to be performing in her first Mainstage production. She recently graduated high school and will be attending Eastern University this Fall. Her favorite roles have been Mayzie in Seussical and Mersister in The Little Mermaid. Anna would like to thank her family and friends for always supporting her and Summer Stage for the family it has given her.
Sarah (Sandra) is finishing out her seventh and final year with the Mainstage program. Previous roles include Kate McGowan in Titanic and Rosalia in West Side Story, both at Summer Stage. She also performed as Junie B. Jones with TheatreWorks USA and in the ensemble of the Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Bucks County Playhouse, under the direction of Hunter Foster. She would like to thank her family, given and chosen, for their unending support. She thanks the cast, staff, and crew for building this world of daffodils with her all summer.
Jack (Frustrated Fisherman) is excited to be back for his second Mainstage production and his seventh summer at Summer Stage! Jack is also excited to be music directing Willy Wonka Jr. this summer at Summer Stage. He is currently a junior at Temple University where he is working toward his B.M. in Music Education. Jack would like to thank all of his family and friends for their love, support, and encouragement!
Megan (Ensemble) is excited to be in her second show in Mainstage. She is a rising sophomore at Ursinus College, majoring in Environmental Studies and minoring in Dance. She would like to thank her parents for always supporting and encouraging her, and hopes that everyone will enjoy the show!
Lauren (Ensemble) is excited to be a part of her first Mainstage production. Lauren is currently a student at Villanova University studying Computer Engineering. Some of her favorite roles include: Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Charlie Bucket in Willy Wonka. She would like to thank all her family, especially her Mom, Dad, and sister, Christina, as well as her friends for their endless support in all her endeavors.
Meghan (Jenny) is thrilled to return for her tenth year in Mainstage! During the day, Meghan works at Villanova University in the Office of Campus Ministry with service and social justice programs. Some of her favorite Summer Stage roles include Peggy Sawyer in 42nd Street, Fiona in Shrek, Penny in Hairspray, Yente in Fiddler, Anybodys in West Side Story, and she is capping off her twenty-one shows here with this wonderful production of Big Fish! Summer Stage has been such an integral part of her life and she is so grateful for the privilege it has been to perform in this special theater for so many magical summers. Abby Shunskis Dietzler
Abby Shunskis Dietzler is so happy to be back at Mainstage as the Movement Mentor for such a beautiful show. She grew up performing in the program and has worked at Summer Stage as a director and choreographer for many years. Some of her choreography credits at Mainstage include Titanic, Fiddler on the Roof, and Mary Poppins. Most recently you may have seen her work as the director of The Lion King Jr. last summer. She works as a freelance choreographer and director throughout the year and is focusing on creating her own movement theater company but her favorite job by far is being mommy to Gavin and Owen! “What a joy it is to go on adventures and see stories come to life through your eyes. Peace and Love.”
Victoria (Ensemble) is thrilled to be back at Summer Stage for her fourth year in Mainstage! She is a rising senior at New York University studying Educational Theatre. Some of her favorite roles include Peter Pan in Disney’s Peter Pan Jr. at Summer Stage and Sally in Me and My Girl. Much love to her family, friends and everyone at Summer Stage for always being a welcoming, loving family.
Jack (Ensemble) will be attending Drexel University in the Fall and is thrilled to be spending his senior summer in his first production with Mainstage. He would like to thank the cast, crew, and staff for their dedication to the production, and he hopes you enjoy the show.
Kylie (Ensemble) is thrilled to be featured in her fourth Mainstage production! She is a student at Temple University. Some of her favorite roles include Consuela in West Side Story, Dancer in In the Heights, Cobweb in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Susanna Walcott in The Crucible, and Movement Narrator in Peter and the Starcatcher. Kylie would like to thank her parents for always supporting her, the box office staff for making the long days fun, and her friends, old and new, for the memories made during this show.
Raygen (Ensemble) is new to Mainstage with Big Fish being her first show. She is a student at Albright College studying Physics Education. Some of her favorite roles were Tinker Bell in Peter Pan Jr. and Lorraine in All Shook Up. She would like to thank her friends and family for the constant love and support and specifically, Eliese and Jordan for keeping her motivated and encouraged.
Eyakeno (Don Price) is elated to perform once again in Mainstage at Summer Stage. He has been involved in Mainstage for two years. Eyakeno has performed professionally, mainly on cruise ships. Some previous favorite roles include Seaweed in Hairspray, Shark in West Side Story, and Ernie in Vegas The Show.
Karl the Giant
John (Karl the Giant), or commonly known as “Fever” at Summer Stage, is extremely excited to be a part of Big Fish, his first Mainstage show! Fever has been performing in shows and doing theater since 2012. Some of his favorite roles include Walter Hobbs in Elf, Alf in Peter and the Starcatcher, Alex in Madagascar, and Sir Lancelot in Spamalot. He will be attending Temple University as a freshman this Fall. Fever would like to thank everyone who has supported his theatrical endeavors over the years, especially his mother and father for being so supportive and coming to every show!
Sabrina (Josephine) is thrilled to be back for her third year with Mainstage! She is a recent Temple University graduate with a BFA in Graphic Design. She was the choreographer of the Children’s Theater production of Disney’s High School Musical Jr. this summer. Thanks to her Mom, Dad, and family for their constant love and support!
Kevin (Dr. Bennett) is excited to be trading in his keyboard for some stage time in this year’s Mainstage production. Kevin has been involved with the Mainstage program for three years, having performed in Fiddler on the Roof, Shrek, and the regional premiere of The Hunchback of Notre Dame. In addition to his acting credits, Kevin music directs Children’s Theater and Cabaret at Summer Stage, and both community theatre and education programs in this area, as well as in the Central Pennsylvania region.
Favorite productions include Legally Blonde (Vocal Director), The Sound of Music (Conductor) and 9 to 5 (Music Director).
Favorite roles include Horton in Seussical (also Music Director) and Christopher Belling in Curtains. He would like to thank his family and friends for sharing their talents and for their love and support.
Mikey (Young Will) is eager to make his Summer Stage debut in the Mainstage Production of Big Fish! He is grateful to have played Ralphie Parker in A Christmas Story, Michael Banks in Mary Poppins, and Ryan Evans in Disney’s High School Musical, Jr. He loves learning from this incredibly talented cast and crew!
Tom (Zacky Price) is excited to perform in his third Mainstage production. After graduating from Upper Darby High School this year, he will be attending Temple University to major in Musical Theater this Fall. Some of his favorite roles have been Tony in West Side Story and Corney Collins in Hairspray. He would like to thank his family and friends for always being supportive as well as the production staff for all of their hard work.
Gina (Music Director) is thrilled to be back for her twelfth year at Summer Stage. Gina has been a music director/accompanist in the Philadelphia area for over 15 years. A graduate of West Chester University, she has worked with Arden Theatre, 11th Hour Theatre Company, Delaware Theatre Company, Upper Darby Summer Stage, Walnut Street Theatre and more. She is also an adjunct faculty member at Temple University and has played the harp and accordion in professional productions. Love to J power, G power, KIT, Meelosh, Mary and Joseph.
Claire (Coven) is going into her junior year at Cardinal O’Hara High School and is so excited to return to Mainstage. She was in Titanic in 2011 and is thrilled to be back in the Mainstage family. She would like to thank her family and friends for all of their love and support, and for encouraging her to audition for Big Fish.
Michaela (Alabama Lamb) is thrilled to be back for her second Mainstage production after playing Shprintze in Fiddler On The Roof (2013). Other favorite roles include Junie B. in Junie B. Jones the Musical, Mary Poppins in Mary Poppins Jr., and most recently the Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods. She would like to give a big thank you to her Mom, Dad and her whole family who always support her!
Micaela (Ensemble) is excited to participate in her first Summer Stage production! She is a Music Education student at Temple University. Some of her favorite roles performed were Juliet Capulet and Wendy Darling. She would like to thank her family for their unconditional love, support, and sharing the car!
Toni (Ensemble) is so excited to participate in her first year of Upper Darby Mainstage and is a rising senior at Springfield High School. Toni’s favorite roles include The Witch in Into The Woods and Dorothy in The Wizard Of Oz. She would like to thank her family, friends, and the cast and crew for making her experience in Big Fish both possible and wonderful!
Gabrielle (Coven) is so excited to be performing in Big Fish. Her favorite roles include Jeannie Muldoon in Nice Work If You Can Get It, Phyllis Dale in 42nd Street, and the Ensemble in Chicago. She is currently understudying Serena in Legally Blonde at the Walnut Street Theatre, and is a Kit Kat dancer in Cabaret at the Resident Theatre Company. She would like to thank her parents for their constant support of her dreams, and Taylor and Phil for being her biggest fans. She wishes broken legs to the cast, staff, crew, and pit!
Jakob (Ensemble) is a student at J. R. Masterman High School, and is ecstatic to be in his debut performance at Upper Darby! Favorite past roles include Evan in 13, Flick in A Christmas Story, Angel in Rent, Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors, Fagin in Oliver, Princeton in Avenue Q, and Shrek in Shrek. Jakob would like to thank his family (especially his sister!) for always supporting him, MacGuffin Theatre and Film Co. for teaching him and creating his passion for the performing arts, and all of the new friends he has made this year at Summer Stage!
Allie (Ensemble) is excited to return to Summer Stage for her fourth Mainstage show! She graduated from Syracuse University with degrees in Psychology and Communication Sciences and Disorders and works in school age childcare. Favorite roles include Featured Dancer in Fiddler on the Roof, Talia in My Son Pinocchio, and Featured Dancer in Seussical. She’s overjoyed to finally share the stage with her sister, Katie!
Katie (Ensemble) is thrilled to return to Summer Stage after previously appearing in the Mainstage productions of My Favorite Year, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and Titanic! She has a Bachelor’s degree in English from Princeton and an M.S.Ed. in Higher Education from the University of Pennsylvania, where she currently works in Development and Alumni Relations. Favorite roles include Ethel Peas in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Patricia Fodor in Crazy for You, and Penny in Honk!. Special thanks to Allie Knorr for all the living room remedial dance classes, and for doing this show with me!
Alison (Coven) is a professional dancer in the Philadelphia area. This will be her fifth production with the Mainstage program. Favorite roles include Tammy in Hairspray!, the Moirai/Morta in Titanic, Connie in A Chorus Line, and Peter Rabbit in Peter Rabbit Tales/Enchantment Theatre Company. A huge thank you to the cast, crew, and staff of Big Fish for welcoming her home.
Lizzy (Ensemble) has been a part of Mainstage for the past six years, including Shrek the Musical (Teen Fiona), Mary Poppins, Nice Work If You Can Get It, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and 42nd Street. She is currently a student at Saint Joseph’s University. She would like to thank her parents, sister and friends for always filling her world with love!
Sarah (Ensemble) is a recent graduate of Temple University where she received a B.A. in both Theater and Media Production. Sarah was most recently seen on stage in the Temple Theater production of Sunday in the Park with George. Roles in other recent shows include Romeo & Juliet (Temple Theaters), 42ndStreet, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame (UD Summer Stage Mainstage). Tess (Ensemble) is thrilled to be back onstage this summer for her fourth year with Mainstage. Tess is a rising senior studying Early Childhood and Special Education at Arcadia University. In past productions, she has had the opportunity to play Elle Woods in Legally Blonde, Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast and Vi Moore in Footloose. She would like to thank her family for always supporting her, her friends for always making the most amazing memories during Mainstage, and the staff of Big Fish for making this beautiful show a reality.
Joe (Ensemble) is so excited to be in his first year with Mainstage! Joe will be starting this Fall as a freshman at Temple University, where he will major in Theater Design and Technology. Some of his favorite roles include Pumbaa in the Lion King and Gaston in Beauty and The Beast (Upper Darby Summer Stage). He would like to thank his family and friends for always supporting him!
Molly (Alabama Lamb) is excited to be participating in her third Mainstage show! She is a rising sophomore at Muhlenberg College where she studies Theatre and Music. Some of her favorite roles include Mary Poppins in Mary Poppins, Witch in Into the Woods and Gypsy in The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Jack (Ensemble) is thrilled to be back for his fifth year with Mainstage! Jack is currently a semi-professional actor for local community theater in addition to some cinematic appearances. Some of Jack’s favorite roles as part of Upper Darby’s Mainstage Program are Young Shrek in Shrek the Musical, Vice Squad in Nice Work if You Can Get It, Citizen in Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Man with Clipboard in 42nd Street. Jack is happy to be back at Summer Stage, which he fondly refers to as his “home away from home.” He mostly enjoys reconnecting with old friends while making new ones along the way! Jack wants to give a shout out to his family for inspiring him to continue what he loves (and rides to and from rehearsal).
Rachel (The Witch) is beyond excited to be a part of this gorgeous piece! This is her seventh Mainstage production. Rachel graduated from Point Park University’s Conservatory of Performing Arts in 2015. Recent favorite credits include Gypsy at Arden Theatre Company, 42nd Street at UD Summer Stage (Dorothy Brock) and Hairspray at Players Club of Swarthmore (Tracy Turnblad). Chris (Edward) is shocked to realize this is his twelfth Mainstage show. When not fretting about his age, Chris spends his time acting, writing, reading Harry Potter, and directing – this summer’s project being Elliot and the Magic Bed. Favorite roles of Mainstage past include Julian Marsh in 42nd Street, Frollo in Hunchback and Thomas Andrews in Titanic. Love to the family and to Laura, for always believing in me.
Leslie (Ensemble) is ecstatic to be in her second Mainstage production! She is a rising sophomore at West Chester University majoring in Theatre with a Musical Theatre concentration and minoring in Dance. Her favorite roles include Sour Kangaroo in Seussical and Dove Soloist in Children of Eden, both at Wolf Performing Arts Center. Malik (Amos Calloway) is excited to join the cast of Big Fish for his sixth Mainstage production! Born and raised right here in Upper Darby, Malik joins us as a rising professional in the theatre world. His previous projects include playing Don Price in the Ritz Theatre Company production of Big Fish, Rooster Hannigan in the Limelight Theatre Company production of Annie the Musical, and Judas/John the Baptist in Godspell (WCU), as well as a two-year stint as a featured soloist in both the 6ABC Thanksgiving Day Parade in Philadelphia and the National Independence Day Parade in Washington, D.C. Malik would like to thank the entire production team of Big Fish, especially director Brian Walsh, for allowing him the opportunity to continue pursuing his true passion of musical theater back on his “home” stage!
Jake (Ensemble) is excited to be a part of his second Mainstage production! He is a rising sophomore at Temple University studying Human Resources Management. Gianna (Mermaid) is thrilled to be returning for her third Mainstage production! She is a rising junior Biology major at Saint Joseph’s University. Some of Gianna’s favorite roles have been Winifred in Once Upon a Mattress and Cinderella in Disney Princesses and Heroes. Gina (Fantasy Ensemble) has been a part of Mainstage for five years, performing in Titanic, Mary Poppins, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and 42nd Street. She will be studying Theatre Performance at Wagner College in the Fall. Patrick (Ensemble) is thrilled to be performing in his first Mainstage production! Patrick is a student at Northeastern University. His favorite show was Les Mis at Malvern Prep.
Emma (Ensemble) is thrilled to be back for her second Mainstage production. She is a rising junior at American University. Some of her favorite roles are Ariel in Disney Princesses and Heroes, Wife in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Ensemble in 42nd Street, and Ensemble in Curtains. Devon (Choreographer) is a Penn State University graduate currently working as an Actor, Emcee, Teaching Artist, and Director/Choreographer in the Greater Philadelphia region. Devon began developing his artistic thumbprint at Summer Stage in 2008 and has been seen regionally with the Walnut Street Theatre, Candlelight Theatre, Theatre Horizon, Ritz Theatre and more. Chris Murphy Smith
Chris (Will) began performing in Children’s Theater at Summer Stage and is thrilled to be making his Mainstage debut. Previous roles include Happy Loman in Death of a Salesman (St. Joe’s Prep Cape & Sword) and Simba in Disney Heroes (UDPAC Summer Stage). Emmy (Assistant Stage Manager) is thrilled to be back for her ninth summer here at Summer Stage! Emmy is a rising senior at Wagner College studying Arts Administration. She recently finished an internship with Jujamcyn Theaters, working in the executive office for five Broadway theaters. Thanks to her family for the never-ending support, and to her Summer Stage family for always welcoming her home.
Nina (Ensemble) is new to Mainstage and Summer Stage this year! She is a junior at Temple University majoring in Theater with a concentration in Acting. Her favorite past roles include The Baker’s Wife in Into The Woods and Sally Brown in You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown. She thanks all of her friends and family for their support, especially her parents!
Ellen (Ensemble) is overjoyed to be back for her fourth Mainstage show following Fiddler on the Roof, Mary Poppins, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. In real life, she is a middle school teacher. Favorite previous productions include Les Miserables, Is He Dead?, Fiddler on the Roof, Polkadots: The Cool Kids Musical, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Sister Act. Thank you to Brian, Gina, Devon, Danielle, and the cast and crew for including me in this magical show. Thank you to Mom, Dad, Patrick, Maura, and family and friends for being the heroes in my story.
Brian (Director) holds a degree in Theater from Kutztown University and a Master’s in Education from Cabrini College. Brian has been a member of Upper Darby Summer Stage for the past twenty-two summers! Brian has directed Curious George, Junie B. Jones, Beauty and the Beast, Jr., Narnia, and many other Children’s Theater shows. This is his third time directing the Mainstage production; he previously directed 42nd Street in 2018. Brian has directed at Players Club of Swarthmore, Marple Newtown High School, Holy Child Academy, and the Chester Charter School for the Arts. Brian also performs, most recently with Limelight Performing Arts Center and many other venues including Players Club of Swarthmore, Candlelight Dinner Theatre, and the Ritz Theatre Company. Brian teaches 4th grade at the Chester Charter School for the Arts and resides in Drexel Hill with his husband, Ryan.

Elese (Ensemble) is thrilled to be making her Mainstage debut! Prior to this show she participated in Children’s Theater productions such as Frog and Toad, Elliot and the Magic Bed and Honk! Jr. Elese also participated in Dance Troupe for three seasons. In high school, she did shows such as The Crucible, All Shook Up, and Peter and the Starcatcher. She would like to thank her wonderful parents for getting her started in theatre from the beginning and for supporting her in every single show, concert, and performance she has done.
Shawn (Ensemble) is excited to be back for his third year with Upper Darby Mainstage. He is a rising senior at Lincoln University of Pennsylvania majoring in Vocal Performance. His favorite roles include James “Thunder” Early in the Lincoln production of Dreamgirls, and his portrayals of Mike from A Chorus Line and Leaf Coneybear from The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee in the Lincoln Spring 2019 musical revue. He would like to thank his family and friends for supporting him in everything he has done until this point.
Kaitlin (Ensemble) is pleased to be in her second Mainstage show! Kaitlin is a junior at Temple University studying Early Education and Special Education. Some of her favorite past roles are Cinderella in Cinderella Kids and Merida in Disney Princesses and Heroes. She loves being a staff member with Children’s Theater, Theater Bugs, and Rising Stars! She would like to thank her family and her Summer Stage family for all their love and support throughout the years.
