“Magic is never easy, but working at Summer Stage keeps it fun. Summer Stage allows you to test your craft in an incredible crucible of theater: to fully produce 7 shows in 10 weeks that reach highly professional levels while teaching a wide age range of children how to not only be strong theater practitioners, but also better humans. Limits don’t exist at Summer Stage. Everyone pitches in to solve the wildest design problems in the greatest way possible. After spending four years working alongside Harry Dietzler and the rest of the team, I gained a wealth of experience that has served me well in all my future jobs. I’ve held positions as Technical Director and Production Manager for Philadelphia theaters. I now work in New York City and for the past 10 years have created live entertainment for some of the biggest companies in the world (Disney, Cirque du Soleil, Samsung, Six Flags, Hard Rock, Mattel, and others). Because you have to roll up your sleeves in Summer Stage, you learn so much about the process of theater. It’s made me a more well-rounded practitioner of the art. The connections made here have helped me throughout my career. It’s an incredible springboard with a broad network that constantly supports. Plus my life changed forever when I met my now wife at Summer Stage!”
