- A full-cast meeting each morning will be followed by smaller breakout sessions to rehearse scenes, develop characters and create the content of the show, all completed in the 9:00am – 12:00pm window.
- There is no script, so our staff can cater to all participants strengths, interests and talents like never before!
- Additional activities (all optional) include special guests, costuming and tech sessions, Dance Troupe, general meetings and The Harry Awards.
- The final performance for each cast will be recorded and streamed on Thursday nights for all to enjoy!
Technical Theater and Costumes
Welcome to the technical theater and costumes crew! This is where we literally make the magic happen: From designing and building sets to props, puppets, costumes and special effects. This summer’s online version will explore the concept and design processes in even greater detail.
Led by professional technicians and designers, immerse yourself in a journey that explores the behind-the-scenes process of what it takes to put on a show. From analyzing a script to the final paint stroke, this program explores the in-depth work of designers and technicians to create the magic the audience sees.
Learn how to imagine a world and then make it a reality With skill set videos, virtual workshops and hands-on projects, you won’t want to miss what we have in store for you!
Three days per week workshops will explore multiple crafts:
- Carpentry and Painting
- Costuming
- Lighting and Sound
- Puppetry
- Includes tools and materials to work at home
Mainstage (ages 17-28)
It wouldn’t be summer without our Mainstagers! This year, under Broadway assistant director and Summer Stage alum Rachel Stevens, a limited 60-person cast will be split into three sessions of two weeks each. The goal is to explore and improve technique in song, audition prep, scene study and multiple dance styles guided by a talented professional staff, culminating in an August virtual performance for our Summer Stage audience.
